The basic rules for players are as follows:
Upon joining this community, there is a high expectation of remaining to English as this is a European based community it tends to be a lot easier.
Doing stupid things ICLY is obviously going to get you a ban, this would fall under the basis of not wanting to roleplay.
The rules that apply to the staff team of Koc (and the players) are as follows:
Staff
Members of the staff team are not allowed to administrate situations involving themselves and/or belonging to the same faction, this is to prevent any bias from happening regardless of whom the staff member may be.
Staff members shouldn't exploit the ingame system, they are not allowed to do anything of which would give them an unfair advantage over others.
Individuals within the staff team are expected to not leak anything to anyone OOCLY, leaking things such as logs, applications, anything, is considered to be unacceptable due to the tediousness behind it.
The rules surrounding staff nobility means that they will have to take leave until they wish to play another character, the only exception that shall be made however, is things such as event nobility.
There is a general rule of courtesy expected from members of the staff team, incognito players are not to be leaked to anyone, their privacy is to be respected at all times.
Players
When creating a character, you may select any ethnicity within the region of Calradia, this follows as: Imperial, Aserian, and, Khuzait the only exceptions made will have to be done through character sheets and biographies/private biographies.
There are general rules about picking a name, it must be relevant to the culture that you have picked, and more importantly it must not be unrealistic, for example names such as Mike Hunt, Jenna Tools, Phat Cont are not accepted, most importantly, your character cannot be named after a figure that actually exists.
Characters that may have existed on other servers and/or another scenario are not allowed, your character is allowed to be very distantly related depending on what their history is.
Realistically, your characters would never meet when playing on the server, therefore you are not allowed to know of anything related to any of your alts.
There are rules surrounding disgusting RP & ERP, disgusting RP falls under the category of Maiming, torture, Unsensual sexual activity (i.e. rape, necrophilia, extreme sexual deviancy, are only to be done with the individuals consent, however rules like Unsensual sexual activity, and anything that may be malicious in that sort of sense, is not allowed on the server, as for ERP... well, I have decided that ERP is allowed, however it is to be done in a private place wherein other players cannot interact, breaching such rules could result in a ban for the individuals involved, more importantly, things such as Maiming and torture is allowed with the players consent, without a staff member can make a decision dependant on the severity of the situation that character is in.
Anyone who decides to play a child character must do this realistically, you wouldn't see a younger child clad in plate, they must remain true to their character, as for child characters they age every two weeks, this is to allow them to further develop their characters into the scenario, as for adults however, which falls above the age of 18 ICLY, they will age every month in order to prevent over aging characters.
You cannot play a child unless they have reached the age of ten ICLY, doing anything inappropriate with children characters is not accepted and will instantly resolve in a permanent ban, due to the seriousness of it, plus, if the logs ever need to be checked, nobody wants to be seeing that kind of RP.
Families cannot extend out into a stupid amount of people, this means that players can have up to five members of the family, however, the fifth member of the family can have a different name in order to establish their own family, but up to that point, we don't think it's best to have too many players flocking to one name.
When using basic ingame mechanics such as /me, /my, e.t.c. players should not exploit them for inappropriate usage, exploiting bugs, glitches, or anything that would give a player an unfair advantage, is not warranted, and can result in a ban dependant on the severity of the situation.
Causing individuals offence ingame is also not warranted, this follows under OOC insults, as nobody really wants to witness any OOC arguing, if anything happens make sure to collect evidence and report it to the forums, so that it may be handled properly if you believe you've been hard done.
Sharing information OOCLY in regards to any events happening ICLY can result in being punished, as individuals cannot metagame any information against your person if you do not reveal it to them, this would apply to any applications that may be used whilst playing Warband too, such as discord, steam, whatever it may be.
OOC fighting isn't a totally huge deal, as long as you're not constantly doing it or doing it in a way that proves to be malicious, if you end up having an OOC spar or something along those lines, just make sure that you do it if a member of staff is not busy, and/or not online.
Combat warnings result in the situation being temporarily frozen for ten seconds, this is to give the other individual a chance to react with a /me, however they are not allowed to do anything else unless they have reacted to the situation.
Deathmatching a player randomly without any proper reason is not allowed, alongside this, things such as CK tickets will only be reviewed by senior administration in order to prevent anything ridiculous from happening, however you are not allowed to act on any other CK's until a week has passed (including Saturdays and Sundays).
Refusing to roleplay fear for your life is not accepted, unless your character is quite literally a psychopath or someone with a very norm attached individual, then you must remain in character and roleplay the situation out properly, if you feel as if it is unfair however, a member of staff shall respond to the situation to prevent any misconceptions from happening.
Faction buildings (such as keeps, town keep, and/or taverns, holy grounds, e.t.c.) are considered to be safezones, any combat that happens within the area must be approved by all parties, or a member of staff may have the authority to make a decision, based on the circumstances of the situation.
To attack faction associated areas, you must make a ticket relevant to what you wish to do with reasonable logic behind it, for example, keeps should not be attacked without a ticket as it may result in a serious situation, the only exception to this would be in an event which could potentially happen to the scenario dependant on what happens.
CK'd characters are not allowed to transfer any of their items, unless the items were purposely disposed of (by being dropped and left), however transferring assets OOCLY is considered to be unfair, therefore it can result in a ban.
Character kills can be given out dependant on the severity of the circumstances, even if it may fall under the bracket of an event character, staff intervention can be used if the character does not have a CK ticket however, it would depend on how serious the situation is, if the individual however believes they've been hard done by, they may make an appeal on the CK.
Players that decide to engage in criminal acts must have either a character sheet or a biography, the only exception that can be made is if they have explicit reasoning for engaging in the crime, through proper character development.
Players that decide to engage in robberies are only allowed to take 10% of the individuals pouch, however when looting a dead individual, you are allowed to take 30% of their pouch.
Forcibly stealing coin from child characters is not accepted, unless they are above the age of 16, certain exceptions can be made however, if it is a faction or if there is reasonable logic behind the ordeal.
Stealing from chests is not allowed unless the staff team give you permission, you can only open any type of lock with a lockpick icly, you are allowed to roll out of 100 under staff supervision, if you fail then the lockpick will automatically break.
Horses shouldn't be abused ICLY, this falls under ramming into people OOCLY, abusing the whistle command from a long distance, summoning your horse once it has died (if you are still in a situation), they are not to be summoned to exploit their lost hit points, upon summoning your horse throughout the time you log on, you must keep the horse spawned until the day after, (that being 12PM in the evening), in order to keep things realistic and fair.
Characters without biographies cannot be CK'd, this is to prevent anything over the top from happening without the approval of the staff team.
